As a Fine Art Textile Artist I work predominantly with weaving. My practice stems from my love of walking. What I create often references the experience of moving in the landscape, but also speaks of the materials that I work with and come to know through the physical act of making. Within my practice I also seek to explore the way that threads can be used to draw lines in and through a space. They can, through weaving, be used to create a surface. What I make does not simply cover a surface but the surface is the Art. In addition to exhibiting I produce one off commissions for individual clients. My practice coexists with my role as an art educator.
